Five Windows 11 Experiences Worth Upgrading For
Microsoft highlights five experience upgrades rolling out to Windows 11:
- From Searching to Doing, Faster: New Windows Search delivers thousands of actions from the taskbar (change settings, arrange windows, soon: text a friend). Available to Windows Insiders today.
- From Capture to Creation, Faster: The redesigned Photos app adds a new Gallery, faster Viewer, rebuilt Editor, and intelligent tools like Relight and object removal.
- Most PC Games, Best Place to Play: Advanced Shader Delivery cuts load times in blockbusters like Gears of War: E-Day by up to 95%, expanding to more devices. Based on Steam's catalog (Ampere Analysis, Sept 2025), Windows has the most PC games.
- Seamless Phone-PC Integration: Access messages, apps, files, and phone controls from your PC; Resume lets you pick up supported activities where you left off. Requires compatible Android or iPhone (features vary).
- Bring Ideas to Life Naturally: Microsoft Ink Canvas provides a flexible space for sketching, annotating, and ideating with a pen.
What This Means for Buyers in Pakistan
While the Xbox game bundle and retailer-specific deals are U.S.-focused, the hardware refresh cycle means new Windows 11 laptops—including Snapdragon X and AMD Ryzen AI models—will reach Pakistani retailers in the coming weeks. The Dell XPS 13 (1 kg, 17-hour battery) and ASUS Zenbook A14 (2 lb, OLED) are strong ultraportable contenders; the Surface Laptop Ultra targets creators needing local AI compute. Buyers should watch for regional pricing and warranty terms, and check whether the Xbox game offer extends to international purchases (historically it has not). The Windows 11 feature upgrades roll out globally via Windows Update.
